Pretty good Taiwanese food! The food is cheap and the food comes out quickly! The pork chop was very flavorful. My wife an I really enjoyed the dessert! I would come back again when I'm in NYC!

Can't believe I haven't stopped by sooner! Taiwan Pork Chop House is a no-frills, cash only spot that's super affordable. Ironically, I liked their salt & pepper chicken better than their porkchop. Their porkchop was good but didn't wow me. However, we ordered two more salt & pepper chicken and rice dishes to go. The oyster pancake was also AMAZING especially with the sweet and sour sauce. Everything is made fresh and comes out nice, hot, and crispy. I wouldn't get the wontons and rice cakes again. The wontons were mid in my opinion and wasn't anything spectacular. The wontons were mid as well and were swimming in oil--minimal chilies, lots of oil. There is seating on the street and just a few tables inside but most people opt to sit outside. I would stop by again for a quick, budget friendly lunch.

This spot has been on my list for so long but for some reason I've never made it a priority to actually eat here. After a lot of pondering I'm so glad my husband and I finally decided to check it out this week for lunch. (There are just so many options in Chinatown, how can you settle on just one spot?? It's impossible) As we near fall and temps have dropped, it was the perfect day to eat at their "dai pai dong" style outdoor seating. Definitely takes you back to Asia in a way, and surprisingly kind of rare in Chinatown. Each dish came in plastic tupperware, if you want to know exactly how no-frills this restaurant is. We started off with wontons in spicy oil which had a kick to them but no real depth in flavor - could be skipped and you can find better at the nearby Deluxe Green Bo. However, their namesake pork chop over rice was incredible. Perfectly fried, tender and seasoned with five spice. Loved the pickled cabbage as well. The oyster pancake and beef noodle soup were also great. The cuts of beef could've been better, but maybe you just don't get beef here - stick with the pork chop or chicken leg. Very solid Taiwanese spot and cheap eat in Chinatown.

No-frills spot with tasty Taiwanese pork chop! The pork chop rice and pork chop noodle soup are both good, depending on what you're in the mood for. The pork chop is big, salty, and delicious with the rice and pickled vegetables. The noodle soup has a simple but tasty broth, and the noodles are well cooked. We also ordered the salt and pepper popcorn chicken- very crispy and well-seasoned. There's a good amount of seating- but mostly tiny tables with stools/mix of chairs- definitely no frills. The food is fairly priced though- around $8-9 each for the pork chop rice and noodles.

Solid place to get your fix of pork chops! Haven't had taiwanese pork chops in forever so came to check this place out and so glad I did. They have plenty of seats (indoors & outdoors), food came out quickly, super affordable, and service was quick. Good for a quick meal. Tried the pork chops with rice and cucumber and jellyfish, HIGHLY recommend getting both dishes! They accept cash or zelle.

We opted for a dessert here and ended up trying their Taro ice. It was quite different from the ones we are used to. Toppings included some uncommon ones such as craisins, corn and peanuts. The portions were big and we found the service to be nice and friendly. Taste wise, it wasn't our favorite in terms of Taro shaved ice but it wasn't bad. Seating was nice outside.

Cheap and cheerful. Stumbled onto this spot hungry on weeknight and decided to give it a go for take out. Ordered the pork chop over rice with pickled mustard greens $8.00 and it hit the spot. Authentic flavor and generous portion of pork chop for the price. Not the best preparation I've had but the meat was moderately marinated and not tough, and the mustard greens were acidic and briny as a good pickled veg should be. Also got a small order of braised kelp $5.00 with was good though on the salty side. Food came out quickly within 6-7 minutes of ordering. A good value for a decent meal esp considering inflation these days. Most items are under $15 and significant portion under $10, which is pretty much unheard of basically anywhere in Manhattan including many other places in Chinatown. No frills, casual interior that could use a little TLC on the tables and seating inside. There are a dozen or so street-side tables with stools and umbrellas for some shade.

This place is legendary and has awesome Taiwanese fare. I was in a rush so just got the dessert taro ball dish (big quantities) with the milk tea and they did not disappoint. Quaint very authentic Chinatown location and interior, with Taiwanese aunties and uncles giving you prompt and ultra attentive service. Highly recommended if you are ever in NYC's Chinatown.

**CASH ONLY** Stopped in to order takeout and opted for the pork chop over rice and salad and pepper chicken over rice. The chicken was actually the highlight, and several friends I spoke to agree, so maybe they should change the name (jk). Staff was friendly and the food was ready quickly.
